Q: What is the best time of the year to dive on the HMAS Perth?

A: All year round with spring, autumn and winter generally offering better conditions with little swell and a lack of easterly winds. 

Q: What is the water temperature in Albany waters?

A: The water temperature ranges from 16 degC in August / September to 22degC in January, Febuary and March.

Q; Do I need a wreck diver specialty certification to dive on the HMAS Perth?

A: No, it would be great if you had one but all you need is a valid open water diver certificate and proof of your experience.

Q: Do I need to have a dive buddy when booking for a charter?

A: No, you will be teamed up with a buddy and/or have the dive guide look after you.

Q: What time does the boat depart?

A: Morning: meet at the jetty 8.00AM, departure time 8.30AM , arvo: meet at jetty 1.00PM, depart 1.30PM , night: meet 5.30PM, depart 5.30PM single dive.  

Q: What is the duration of the double dive charter?

A: 4-5 hours

Q: How long is the travel time to the HMAS Perth?

A: 15-20 minutes

Q: What is the water temperature?

A: Water temperature ranges from 16 deg C in August/September to 22 deg C in March/ April.

Q: Do you offer nitrox fills and hire cylinders?

A: Yes we do.  32%-36% nitrox fills are available on tap, other mixes need to be ordered in advance.  

Q: Does the vessel cater for photographers and videographers?

A: Yes, both are very welcome and will be looked after well.

Q: Can non divers join the charter?

A: Yes, but divers are given priority.
